Olympic Star Alexandra Paul Has Died Aged 31

Olympic ice dancer Alexandra Paul, 31, tragically died in a car accident near Toronto, leaving behind her 10-month-old son, who survived with non-life-threatening injuries. Paul and her partner Mitchell Islam won silver at the 2010 World Junior Championships and bronze three times at the Canadian nationals. They also won bronze at the 2013 Nebelhorn Trophy and competed at the 2014 Winter Olympics for Canada.

Skate Canada expressed sorrow, praising Paul’s talent, warmth, and sportsmanship. A GoFundMe page raised over $204,000 for Paul’s family, supporting Islam in raising their son, Charlie. The tribute highlighted Paul’s passion, kindness, and role as a Canadian figure skating ambassador. Paul’s legacy extends beyond her sporting achievements, touching all who knew her.
