Tammy Slaton, star of TLC’s 1000-Lb Sisters, has revealed her stunning transformation, saying she’s lost the equivalent of “three versions” of herself. At her heaviest, Tammy weighed 725 pounds and relied on a wheelchair, walker, and oxygen support.
Through years of determination, multiple rehab visits, and bariatric surgery, Tammy has lost around 540 pounds. “I see pictures of me now and I think ‘wow,’” she said during a recent podcast interview. The weight loss journey wasn’t easy, especially during the COVID-19 pandemic, which caused her weight to spike before surgery.

Tammy recently underwent skin removal surgery after reaching her goal weight. “After six years and losing over 500 pounds, I was finally approved for surgery. I worked really hard for this, and now it’s here,” she told People.
She admitted being terrified before the procedure but is thrilled with the results. “I surprised the doctors with how well my body was healing. I ended up coming home from Pittsburgh four days early,” Tammy said, celebrating her incredible progress.
