Rachel Booth, a 38-year-old mother of three from Barnton, Northwich, was found dead in a lake in Oakmere on July 21, 2025. She had been missing for two days, sparking a wide search by Cheshire Police involving divers, dogs, and local volunteers.
Rachel was last seen early Saturday morning, July 19, at a petrol station where she bought milk and wine. CCTV footage showed her alone and calm. “She didn’t seem disturbed,” said a station worker. Her body was later recovered near Wild Shore Delamere. Police confirmed there were no suspicious circumstances.

Rachel, also known as Helena to family, leaves behind her husband Carl and three young sons. “She was a guiding light whose strength and love touched us all,” the family said in a tribute.
A GoFundMe page has raised over £8,800 to support her children and donate to an ADHD charity. “Your generosity will help give Rachel the farewell she deserves,” reads the fundraiser.
