Texas A&M Commerce is mourning the loss of Keith Miller III, a beloved wide receiver, found dead near campus at 23. The cause of death remains unknown. Miller’s girlfriend, coaches, and Brenden Rice, son of Hall of Famer Jerry Rice and Miller’s former teammate, expressed their grief.
Miller’s girlfriend, Caila Jae, shared her heartbreak on social media, saying, “I will never love anyone the way I loved you.” Rice, in an Instagram post, promised to take care of Miller’s son, Luka, writing, “Luka gone be straight I got him.”
Both Colorado and Texas A&M Commerce communities mourned Miller’s passing. The university is offering additional counseling services to students.
Coach Clint Dolezel described Miller as a beloved father, son, teammate, and student-athlete. Athletic director Jim Curry expressed shock and sadness, extending condolences to Miller’s family and loved ones.
The circumstances surrounding Miller’s death remain unclear, leaving many to remember him fondly and mourn his loss deeply.
