Tom Jones, 85, canceled his July 22 show in Bremen just hours before taking the stage due to an upper respiratory infection. The legendary singer shared the news on X, saying, “I must postpone my show… I’ve contracted an upper respiratory infection that needs treatment and rest.”
The canceled show was part of his Defy Explanation tour, which began in June and runs across the U.K. and Europe until late August. While fans were disappointed, many expressed love and concern. One wrote, “Take care, stay safe, and rest up — your health comes first!”

Jones, famous for hits like “It’s Not Unusual” and “Delilah,” has sold over 100 million records. He said in a recent interview, “I can still sing… I feel I’ve got a point to prove.”
Despite age and health challenges, Sir Tom remains determined. The postponed show is now set for July 28. Fans continue to send well wishes, with one saying, “Tigers and legends need rest — we’re all behind you.”
