A Role That Became Personal
Abigail Hawk has played Detective Abigail Baker on Blue Bloods for over a decade. She says the character became part of her identity. “We matured together… we were pregnant together, became moms together,” Hawk shared, smiling.
Tom Selleck’s Impact
Originally meant to appear once, Hawk stayed thanks to Tom Selleck’s support. “Tom and I had an instant rapport,” she said. He saw her potential as the quiet emotional mirror to his Commissioner, creating an unspoken dynamic fans love. “Tom magically makes everything better,” she added.

Life After the Show
With Blue Bloods ending in late 2024, Hawk is moving forward. She’s hosting the ADAPT Leadership Awards and working on a novel set in Victorian London. She’s also starring in indie films, including Daruma, which she calls “groundbreaking.”
Looking Ahead
Though she’ll miss Baker, Hawk is excited for the future. “Representation matters,” she says, highlighting her passion for inclusion and storytelling. As for real life, she beams about her husband’s new career in nursing, calling him her “best partner in the world.”
