A viral video has been spreading shocking claims about Amanda Bynes, but the former child star has now stepped forward to shut it down. The video accused Nickelodeon producer Dan Schneider of assaulting and impregnating her when she was just 13, a claim that quickly drew attention online.
Dan Schneider has faced scrutiny in recent years, especially after the 2024 Investigation Discovery series Quiet on Set: The Dark Side of Kids TV. The documentary featured former cast and crew members describing alleged sexism, racism, and inappropriate behavior during his time on popular Nickelodeon shows in the late ’90s and early 2000s.

Schneider later addressed the allegations in an interview with BooG!e, who played T-Bo on iCarly. He admitted that watching the documentary was painful and said he regretted some of his past behavior. He also shared that he owes several people sincere apologies.
The controversy intensified when a fake TikTok began circulating, edited to make it look like Amanda Bynes herself accused Schneider of assault. But Bynes quickly made it clear the video was fabricated. She stated on TikTok that she never made such claims and called the allegations “ridiculous.”
She later told TMZ that someone pieced together clips from her social media to create false accusations for clickbait. Bynes emphasized that none of it came from her, and the claims have no truth behind them.

Meanwhile, Schneider continues to face the broader fallout from past allegations, and a California judge recently allowed his defamation lawsuit against the producers of Quiet on Set to move forward.
