Amber Heard Has Changed Her Name And Moved To A New Continent

Amber Heard has quietly stepped back from Hollywood and begun a new chapter far from the spotlight — complete with a new name and a new life on another continent.

A Fresh Start After Years of Public Turmoil

The 37-year-old actress, known for films like Aquaman and Zombieland, faced intense scrutiny during her highly publicized 2022 defamation trial with ex-husband Johnny Depp. After the verdict, sources say she shifted her focus to her young daughter, Oonagh Paige, and chose to rebuild her life in Europe.

According to People, friends close to Heard say she is “moving on” and enjoying a slower, simpler lifestyle. “She spends every day with her little girl,” the source shared. “They visit parks, walk around, and enjoy being a family. Amber is a wonderful mom.”

Working Again — But on Her Own Terms

Despite keeping a low profile, Heard has returned to acting. She recently told Deadline she hopes to balance independent films with larger studio projects. Insiders say she has a “new energy” and is enjoying creative freedom again.

Life in Spain — and a New Identity

Spanish outlets first spotted Heard living in Palma de Mallorca, where she surprised fans with fluent Spanish during a brief interview. “I love Spain so much,” she said, adding that she hoped to stay permanently.

Reports later surfaced that she relocated to Madrid and adopted an alias to protect her privacy while traveling. According to Esquire, she used the name Martha Jane Cannary, inspired by frontierswoman Calamity Jane.

Moving Beyond the Headlines

Heard appeared briefly in Aquaman and the Lost Kingdom, though her reduced screen time fueled fresh debate. Studio leadership later stated the smaller role was planned early in development and not tied to her legal battle.

Today, Heard appears focused on raising her daughter, working selectively, and enjoying a quieter life far from Hollywood’s glare.
