Amy Schumer joked that John Cena was “actually inside her” while filming an intimate scene in the 2015 comedy Trainwreck. Schumer played a commitment-phobic woman who gets involved with Cena’s character, Steven, a devoted gym enthusiast.

Discussing Cena’s physique, Schumer once said: “It’s a whole universe, that butt… It’s not even human. It felt like having a refrigerator on top of me.” She humorously added, “I think it was probably harder for him. He had to, like, do something. I just did what I usually do when I have s**. Just lay there.”

Cena admitted the scene was awkward, saying in a 2015 Conan interview: “And they wanted awkward, so we gave them awkward.” He elaborated on Club Shay Shay, revealing, “Amy is an angel, she made the environment so comfortable.” But the reality of filming was far from intimate: “Catering was right there, and the sound tent was right there… It’s real embarrassing.”

After Cena’s comments, Schumer playfully responded on Instagram: “That s** scene meant a lot to me, and I was, like, very into it. And I’m in love with you.”
