Aubrey Plaza opened up about her first sex scene in the 2013 comedy The To Do List, calling it a “nightmare.” In the scene, Plaza’s character Brandy Klark performs a moment of self-pleasure—something Plaza didn’t realize she’d have to actually act out on camera.
“I was like, this is the weirdest acting job I’ve ever had in my life,” she told The Sunday Times. She described showing up on set to find a ceiling-mounted camera, wearing just a Clinton T-shirt and underwear, surrounded by crew members. “Then I went and touched myself,” she added bluntly, noting the full-body shot caught her off guard.

Despite the awkwardness, Plaza praised director Maggie Carey for being sensitive and supportive, something she said might have been lacking with a male director.
While she’s not eager to repeat that experience, Plaza is all in for a Parks and Recreation reboot: “If Amy Poehler’s in, I’m in.” Co-star Rashida Jones echoed the same, saying the whole cast would reunite in a heartbeat.
