Scientists discover how many times men should have sex per year to greatly reduce risk of heart disease

Staying active is essential for long-term wellness, but scientists now say one form of physical activity may offer surprising heart-health benefits: sex. A new analysis suggests that men who maintain a regular sexual routine may significantly reduce their risk of heart disease as they age.

Researchers from Qingdao University in China reviewed data from multiple U.S. studies involving more than 17,000 adults. Their findings, published in Scientific Reports, show a clear trend—men who had sex less than 12 times per year faced a higher risk of heart disease and early mortality. In contrast, men who engaged in sexual activity roughly 100 times per year—about twice a week—had much lower cardiovascular risks. Even moderate activity, around once a week, was associated with measurable benefits.

Experts say the explanation is simple. Sexual activity increases heart rate, improves circulation, and reduces stress, all of which play key roles in cardiovascular health. Dr. Alexis Missick of UK Meds noted that sex supports both emotional well-being and physical fitness, calling it “literally good for your heart.”

However, researchers also cautioned that balance matters. Extremely high frequency—more than once daily—may reduce some of the health advantages, echoing the well-known principle that excessive physical exertion can outweigh benefits.

The study’s authors stress that sexual activity can serve as a helpful indicator of overall health. Men experiencing very low or unusually high frequency may want to discuss their situation with a medical professional.

As with most wellness habits, the message is clear: moderation supports a healthier heart.

I suffered EIGHT miscarriages… then I made a simple diet swap and got pregnant with twins at 43

After enduring eight miscarriages and years of infertility, 43-year-old Molly Brown finally welcomed twin boys. Her journey took a successful turn only after she made a significant change to her daily lifestyle: she moved away from a plant-based diet.

For a decade, Molly followed a strict vegetarian and vegan diet. Despite trying hormone treatments, she struggled to conceive. In a final effort to improve her health, she reintroduced high-quality animal proteins, including eggs, steak, and butter.

Animal proteins contain essential nutrients often missing in plant-only diets. These include Vitamin B12, zinc, and iron. Experts note that these elements are vital for hormone balance and egg quality, especially for women navigating reproductive health in their 40s.

Within months of changing her eating habits, Molly became pregnant naturally. While she acknowledges she isn’t a doctor, she believes the healthy fats and proteins provided the strength her body needed to carry a pregnancy to term.

Molly’s story highlights a shifting perspective on nutrition. While doctors still advise moderation with red meats, many now emphasize the importance of high-quality proteins for fetal development. For Molly, this simple “diet swap” resulted in two healthy baby boys.

  • Doctors warn millions to stay inside this week as just minutes outdoors could be DEADLY

Doctors warn millions to stay inside this week as just minutes outdoors could be DEADLY

Doctors across the United States are urging millions of people to stay indoors this week as an intense Arctic cold snap brings some of the lowest temperatures of the season. In several regions, conditions are so severe that even brief time outside could be life-threatening.

Health experts warn that hypothermia can develop much faster than many realize. In extreme cold, shivering and numbness can begin within minutes. If clothing becomes wet from sweat or snow, body heat is lost rapidly, sharply increasing the danger.

Older adults, infants, and people with heart or lung conditions face the highest risk. However, doctors stress that healthy adults are also vulnerable, especially during short activities such as walking a dog, clearing snow, or dealing with a broken-down car.

When the body’s core temperature drops too low, vital organs are affected. Blood vessels tighten, the heart works harder, and brain function slows. Judgment can fail, making people unaware of how serious the situation has become. In severe cases, hypothermia can lead to unconsciousness and death.

Doctors advise limiting time outdoors as much as possible, dressing in warm layers, and taking frequent breaks in heated spaces. Uncontrollable shivering, confusion, or numbness are warning signs to get inside immediately. Alcohol should be avoided, as it speeds heat loss. Checking on elderly neighbors and others at risk can also help prevent tragedy during extreme cold.

Danish politician cut off after telling Donald Trump to ‘f**k off’ during heated Greenland speech

A Danish politician has openly rejected renewed claims by Donald Trump that the United States should take control of Greenland, delivering his message during a speech at the European Parliament.

The lawmaker, Anders Vistisen, stressed that Greenland has been part of the Danish kingdom for centuries and is not for sale. His remarks were aimed directly at Trump, who has repeatedly argued that Greenland is vital for U.S. and global security.

Vistisen’s unusually blunt language quickly attracted attention and spread widely online. Shortly afterward, the parliamentary chair interrupted his speech and formally reprimanded him, reminding members that offensive language is not permitted, regardless of strong political feelings.

Trump has long claimed Greenland’s strategic Arctic location makes it essential for security, while critics believe access to natural resources also plays a role. Greenland remains an autonomous territory within Denmark.

Both Denmark and Greenland are members of NATO. Any attempt to seize the territory by force would create serious tensions among allies. Despite the backlash, Trump has continued to insist that Greenland is critical to U.S. interests.
