Sophia Hutchins, 29, tragically died on July 2 after her ATV crashed and sent her plunging 350 feet down a ravine in Los Angeles, near Caitlyn Jenner’s Malibu home. Hutchins was declared dead at the scene.
According to the Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department, Hutchins may have been speeding when she struck the back of a Mazda. The impact caused her to veer off the road and fall into the ravine. “She tried to maneuver around the car, but clipped the rear and went off the cliff,” said Sgt. Eduardo Saucedo. The two women in the other vehicle were unharmed.

Hutchins, a Pepperdine University graduate, was the founder and CEO of LUMASOL, a health and tech company. She also served as CEO of the Caitlyn Jenner Foundation, which supports transgender rights and LGBTQ+ causes.
Jenner called Hutchins her “best friend,” and the two shared a close professional and personal bond. “We challenge each other to grow,” Hutchins once said. Jenner spent the Fourth of July mourning her loss, calling it an incredibly difficult time.
