Diagnosis revealed
On December 21, 2025, Barry Manilow posted on Instagram.
He said doctors diagnosed him with lung cancer.
How it was found
He said he had bronchitis for six weeks.
Later, he had a second relapse for five weeks.
Doctors ordered an MRI.
The scan found a spot on his left lung.
Treatment plan
Manilow said he will have surgery to remove the spot.
However, he said he will not need chemotherapy or radiation.
He joked he is using chicken soup and “I Love Lucy” reruns.
Fans react
The news came after his seventh annual Christmas charity series.
It ran at the McCallum Theatre in Palm Desert.
On January 2, 2026, he shared a hospital photo and wrote:
“Better Today!”
Tour rescheduled
Manilow postponed his January 2026 dates.
The shows move from late February through April.
Tickets will be honored.
The run starts in Tampa on February 27.
Then he plays Columbus March 6 and Charleston March 11.
Later, he heads to Orlando March 13 and Sunrise March 14.
He plays Estero March 16 and 17.
In April, he visits Greensboro April 24.
Then he plays Jacksonville April 27.
Finally, he ends in Duluth April 29.
He will still play Westgate Las Vegas on February 12, 13, and 14.
He also urged fans:
“And remember, if you have even the slightest symptom… get tested!”
