Beyonce has sparked speculation about a name change after Forbes listed her as “Beyonce Knowles,” omitting her official surname, Knowles-Carter. This comes after her husband, Jay-Z, was accused of assaulting a 13-year-old girl. Fans reacted online, with comments like, “Nah don’t forget the Carter!!!” and “This is blowing up—good luck, love!”
Jay-Z strongly denied the allegations, calling them a “blackmail attempt.” In a statement to Page Six, he said, “What [Buzbee] had calculated was the nature of these allegations and the public scrutiny would make me want to settle. No sir, it had the opposite effect!” He added, “These alleged victims would deserve real justice if that were the case.” He also criticized the attorney, saying, “I have no idea how you have come to be such a deplorable human, Mr. Buzbee.”

Addressing the impact on his family, Jay-Z expressed concern for his children, stating, “My wife and I will have to sit our children down… and explain the cruelty and greed of people.” He added, “I mourn yet another loss of innocence.”
Sean “Diddy” Combs, also implicated, denied all allegations. His legal team called the claims “shameless publicity stunts” and stated, “The truth will prevail: that Mr. Combs never sexually assaulted or trafficked anyone.” Meanwhile, Combs remains in custody on charges including sex trafficking and racketeering.
