Toby Keith, posthumously, joins the Country Music Hall of Fame alongside John Anderson and James Burton this year. Toby, a Modern Era artist, passed away on February 5, 2024, at 62 due to stomach cancer.

Despite a rule preventing posthumous inductions, Toby’s eligibility remained intact as the voting process began before his demise. Sarah Trahern, CMA CEO, expressed regret at not informing Toby before his passing.

At the induction ceremony, Toby’s son, Stelen, spoke on behalf of the family, expressing gratitude and honoring his father’s legacy. Stelen thanked the Hall of Fame and acknowledged his father’s greatness as a man, husband, father, and artist.

Together, they are working to rebuild their relationship and Barker is striving to regain the trust of Evans’ children.
