Kimberly Williams-Paisley, wife of country star Brad Paisley, recently underwent surgery for vocal cord issues. The 52-year-old actress shared her journey on social media, revealing that she had been hospitalized after struggling with damage to her laryngeal nerve. She described her experience, saying, “I tried everything I could to heal it (so thank you but please don’t give me any tips!).”
Kimberly had faced embarrassment and fear due to her vocal problems, which started nearly two years ago. Despite various treatments, her condition persisted, leading to a recent successful laryngoplasty at Vanderbilt Health. She humorously noted, “I have a badass scar that’s smiling at me across my neck.”
In her post-surgery update, Kimberly expressed gratitude for the support she’s received and noted that she’s found power in new ways of using her voice. She reflected, “Was losing my voice worth it? Mm, not exactly. Was it worthless? Not for a second.” Fans and her husband, Brad Paisley, have shown immense support, with Brad commenting, “This will be a great new chapter.”
