A British man has reportedly survived the tragic Air India crash on June 12, shocking officials who initially believed there were no survivors. Authorities identified the man as Vishwash Kumar Ramesh, who was sitting in seat 11A. He is now receiving treatment in hospital.
“The plane made a loud noise just after takeoff and crashed instantly,” Vishwash told Hindustan Times. “When I stood up, there were bodies everywhere. I was terrified and ran until someone pulled me into an ambulance.” He sustained injuries to his chest, eyes, and feet. His brother was also on the flight.

The Boeing 787 Dreamliner, bound for London Gatwick, crashed into a doctors’ hostel shortly after taking off from Ahmedabad Airport. The plane carried 242 people, including 169 Indians and 53 Britons. Over 200 bodies have been recovered, including passengers and people from the impacted building.
Police believe more locals may be among the dead. Vishwash’s survival offers a sliver of hope in one of India’s most devastating aviation disasters.
