A shocking TikTok video has cost several California clinic workers their jobs after mocking patients in disturbing ways. The now-deleted clip showed staff posing with bodily fluids left behind on exam tables.
In one scene, an employee grinned with a thumbs-up over a stain, while another joked, “Guess the substance.” A third clip featured a worker bending over a mark with the words “All shapes and sizes.” Outrage quickly spread online, with one nurse calling the behavior “unprofessional and unethical.”

Sutter Health, which partners with Sansum Clinic in Santa Barbara, confirmed all employees seen in the video were fired. “Patient trust and dignity are always our top priority,” the clinic stated. Healthcare experts stressed that mocking patients, even anonymously, breaks ethical standards and damages public trust.
The viral incident is a reminder of how dangerous social media misuse can be in medical settings.
