Expert explains why more men are getting HPV-related throat cancer from oral sex

Health experts in the UK are highlighting a growing concern about HPV-related head and neck cancers. Recent data shows that men make up about two in three new cases, raising interest in why the risk is higher for them than for women.

HPV is extremely common, and most people will come into contact with it at some point in their lives. Many clear the virus naturally within a year or two. But some high-risk strains can remain in the body for decades and slowly lead to cancers in the throat and the back of the mouth. Rates of these cancers have increased in recent years, especially among men.

Karis Betts, a cancer epidemiologist at Cancer Research UK, explains that this pattern reflects both past and present behavior. For many years, smoking and heavy drinking were more common among men, and both habits significantly raise the risk of head and neck cancers. Betts also notes that HPV exposure varies across different groups. Men who have sex with men face a slightly higher risk, which is why vaccination is offered to them up to age 40.

Although HPV spreads through close skin contact, Betts emphasizes that the most effective protections are vaccination and cervical screening. She adds that the biggest steps people can take to lower their overall cancer risk are to avoid smoking or to quit, and to reduce alcohol use. These actions offer far greater benefits than worrying about past HPV exposure.

While head and neck cancers make up a small share of total cases in the UK, early awareness and timely medical care remain important.

  • Woman Who ‘Died’ Shares Chilling Discovery She Made In ‘Heaven’

Woman Who ‘Died’ Shares Chilling Discovery She Made In ‘Heaven’

A woman who believes she died and spent three days in a peaceful “spirit realm” is sharing what she learned during that experience. Her story has drawn widespread attention as interest in near-death experiences continues to grow.

Julie Poole, now a spiritual mentor, has long spoken about the trauma she faced as a child. In her twenties, during a period of deep emotional pain, she attempted to end her life. She says she lost consciousness and felt herself enter a calm, bright place that seemed separate from the physical world.

Poole recalls seeing guiding figures who lifted her upward. She remembers telling them she was “going home,” but they responded that it was not her time. She says they reminded her that her life would be difficult but meaningful, and that she still had a purpose to fulfill.

According to Poole, she returned to her body three days later with a message she could not forget. She believes she was told that between 2012 and 2032, humanity would begin moving into a “Golden Age.” She describes this period as a shift away from control and abuse of power and toward greater fairness and accountability. In her view, this change involves long-standing corruption being exposed and replaced by people with sincere intentions.

Near-death experiences remain medically unexplained, but they continue to raise questions about consciousness, healing, and spirituality. For Poole, her experience left her with a sense of hope and a belief that truth and integrity will play a larger role in the years ahead.

  • Adult Star Annie Knight Who Has Slept With Thousands Shares Same Mistake All Men Make In Bed

Adult Star Annie Knight Who Has Slept With Thousands Shares Same Mistake All Men Make In Bed

Adult creator Annie Knight, known in Australia for her high profile on subscription platforms, has shared what she believes is the most common mistake men make during intimacy. Knight has drawn attention over the years for her unusual career milestones and her rapid rise on content-based platforms, where she now ranks among the top earners.

She has often spoken about the work behind her success. During an interview on The Kyle & Jackie O Show, she explained that daily content, strict consistency, and years of trial and error shaped her growth. She said it took more than two years to reach the top tier on the platform and that her progress came through marketing experiments, patience, and long days spent building a following. Knight advises newcomers to understand the effort involved and to study successful creators before expecting results.

Knight is also engaged to Henry Brayshaw, a longtime friend she reconnected with after both worked together years ago. She says their relationship grew slowly and that he has supported her decisions throughout her career, even during moments that brought her intense public attention.

When asked about her experiences with partners, Knight said many men struggle with communication and awareness during intimacy. She believes the biggest issue is a lack of focus on patience, comfort, and understanding, which she says are essential for a positive experience. Knight adds that many people learn about intimacy from unrealistic sources, rather than honest conversations or real guidance.

Her comments echo similar observations shared by other adult industry professionals who say that meaningful connection and communication matter far more than speed or technique.

  • J.K. Rowling Says She’ll Never Forgive Emma Watson And Daniel Radcliffe

J.K. Rowling Says She’ll Never Forgive Emma Watson And Daniel Radcliffe

J.K. Rowling has signaled that she will not forgive Emma Watson or Daniel Radcliffe for speaking out against her views on sex and gender. Rowling, known worldwide for the Harry Potter series, has faced ongoing debate since 2020, when she questioned an article that used the phrase “people who menstruate.” Her comments sparked strong criticism, and she later explained that she believes biological sex is essential to protecting women’s rights.

Several actors from the film franchise responded at the time. Daniel Radcliffe issued a statement through The Trevor Project, saying he felt responsible for supporting transgender people and wanted readers to know the books still belonged to them. Emma Watson also shared her support for transgender men and women, telling followers they deserved dignity and respect.

Rowling has continued to defend her position in the years since. When the Cass Review on gender identity care for young people was released, she praised it as an important evaluation of medical evidence. After a supporter suggested that Watson and Radcliffe might one day apologize, Rowling replied that she would not accept it. She argued that public figures who supported ideas she believes harm women and children should direct apologies to those affected.

Many fans quickly defended Radcliffe and Watson, saying the actors were expressing compassion and speaking for themselves. Others noted that their connection to the Harry Potter films does not require them to share Rowling’s views.

  • Prince Philip’s Cruel Nickname For Meghan Markle Exposed

Prince Philip’s Cruel Nickname For Meghan Markle Exposed

A newly resurfaced claim about Prince Philip has drawn fresh attention to Meghan Markle and her relationship with the royal family. A recent book on the late Duke of Edinburgh, who died in 2021 at age 99, alleges that he had a private nickname for the Duchess of Sussex. The detail stirred quick reactions online, with many noting that Philip was known for blunt remarks and that this comment was mild compared with others he made over the years.

Prince Harry and Meghan Markle have remained two of the most debated members of the royal family since stepping down from their roles in 2020. They now live in California with their children, Archie and Lilibet. The book My Mother and I by royal biographer Ingrid Seward explores Queen Elizabeth II’s reported views on the couple and their departure. One passage claims the Queen believed Markle’s wedding dress appeared “too white” for a divorcée, despite its classic and modest design.

The most striking allegation, however, concerns Prince Philip’s comparison of Meghan to Wallis Simpson, the American divorcée who married Edward VIII. The book states he referred to Meghan as “D.o.W.,” a reference to the Duchess of Windsor. According to Seward, he saw similarities in their backgrounds and public impact, noting that both were American, glamorous, and previously married.

Wallis Simpson remains a controversial figure, remembered for her role in Edward VIII’s abdication and their life in exile. Historians have also compared Edward’s emotional struggles with those of Prince Harry, suggesting both faced deep personal conflict after leaving royal duties.

  • The One Man Who Voted Against Release Of Epstein Files Revealed

The One Man Who Voted Against Release Of Epstein Files Revealed

A major vote in the US House of Representatives has revealed the only lawmaker who opposed releasing files connected to Jeffrey Epstein. Almost every Republican supported the Epstein Files Transparency Act, which requires the Department of Justice to publish unclassified records tied to the investigation. The measure passed 427-1 after Donald Trump urged his party to vote in favor, reversing his earlier position.

The bill calls for the release of emails, communications, flight logs, and travel records related to Epstein and Ghislaine Maxwell, who is serving a 20-year sentence for recruiting minors. The vote followed months of criticism directed at the White House for delaying the publication of these records, despite earlier campaign promises. Public attention intensified last week when House Democrats released emails that raised new questions about Trump’s past connection to Epstein. Trump denied knowing about Epstein’s crimes and denied any involvement.

Shortly after the House vote on November 18, the Senate also approved the bill. The only step left is the President’s signature, which Trump has said he will provide. When that happens, Attorney General Pam Bondi will have 30 days to release the documents.

The only vote against the bill came from Representative Clay Higgins of Louisiana. In a statement on X, he said the legislation could expose private details about people who were never accused of wrongdoing. He warned that releasing broad investigative files might harm witnesses, family members, and others linked to the case. Higgins said he would support an amended version, though changes appear unlikely.

  • Scientists issue shocking health warning to anyone smoking two cigarettes a day

Scientists issue shocking health warning to anyone smoking two cigarettes a day

Health experts are issuing a new warning about the risks of smoking, even in small amounts. Most people already know that tobacco harms the body, from raising the risk of cancer to damaging the heart and blood vessels. Many also assume that the danger grows only with heavy use. But new research shows that even one or two cigarettes a day can carry serious health consequences.

Scientists at Johns Hopkins University followed more than 300,000 adults for about two decades. Their findings were clear. People who smoked as little as two cigarettes a day faced a 60 percent higher risk of death from any cause compared with people who never smoked. The same group also had a significantly higher chance of heart disease.

Cardiologist Dr. Jennifer Miao of Yale University explained that tobacco damages the lining of blood vessels and speeds the buildup of plaques that block arteries. She noted that even low-level smoking can set these changes in motion.

The study, published in PLOS Medicine, also highlighted an encouraging point. The moment a person quits, the body begins to recover. Dr. Erfan Tasdighi of Rutgers New Jersey Medical School said the reduction in risk starts almost immediately and continues over time. He stressed that no level of smoking is safe, and even less than one cigarette a day can affect the heart and circulation.

Still, both experts acknowledge that quitting is difficult. They encourage smokers to seek support early, as stopping remains the most effective way to protect long-term health.

Police issue stern statement after woman seeking a ‘violent death’ is allegedly murdered by man she met on ‘fetish website’

Florida authorities have arrested a man after the remains of British traveler Sonia Exelby were found only days after she missed her return flight home. The 32-year-old had flown from England to Florida, and police say she was struggling with her mental health before the trip. UK officers raised the alarm on October 13 when she failed to board her flight at Gainesville Regional Airport. They told Florida investigators, through INTERPOL, that she was in danger and had expressed a desire to die.

Her body was discovered soon after in Marion Oaks with several stab wounds. The Florida Department of Law Enforcement began treating the case as a homicide. About a month later, investigators arrested 53-year-old Dwain Hall of Ocala. He now faces charges that include first-degree murder, kidnapping, and fraud linked to her bank cards. Officers say digital records showed Exelby had been communicating with Hall through a fetish website and had discussed self-harm.

Police documents state that Hall first denied knowing her, then changed his account several times. He later admitted they had spoken about suicide and violence. He did not confess to killing her but allegedly told investigators that she “got what she wanted.” Authorities also reviewed a video in which Hall asked Exelby how she wished to die, while she appeared unsure.

Before her body was found, Exelby’s partner made a public plea for help, saying she was in deep distress. Florida officials now urge anyone with information to contact the FDLE Gainesville tip line.

  • I lived in an all-inclusive resort for a month to find out if it’s cheaper than paying rent and buying groceries – here’s what I found out

I lived in an all-inclusive resort for a month to find out if it’s cheaper than paying rent and buying groceries – here’s what I found out

A man from Seattle decided to test an unusual idea after growing tired of rising rent and grocery bills. He wanted to know if living in an all-inclusive resort could cost less than staying in his own apartment. When he posted the thought on TikTok, Expedia noticed and offered to cover the cost so he could put the theory into action.

Ben Keenan spent nearly a month at a resort in Playa del Carmen, Mexico, and documented each day online. He tried to follow his regular Monday-to-Friday routine to keep the comparison fair. His videos showed what life looked like when lodging, meals, drinks, and entertainment were all included. He also counted things he normally pays for, such as a gym membership and transportation.

The room he stayed in was close in size to his apartment back in Seattle. At home, his monthly expenses run about $4,100. That includes rent, utilities, and car payments. At the resort, the total came to about $4,900 for the month, not including airfare.

Ben noted that his stay was booked close to the travel date. He believes he could have saved a few hundred dollars by planning earlier, which might make the numbers more competitive. He also pointed out that a resort offers extras such as events, pools, room service, and daily housekeeping, which aren’t part of his normal expenses.

In the end, his experience was not cheaper than living at home, but he said results will vary. With U.S. rents still above $2,000 a month in many areas, he understands why people are exploring creative ways to manage rising costs.

  • A-list heartthrob looks UNRECOGNISABLE as he’s seen hugging his wife

A-list heartthrob looks UNRECOGNISABLE as he’s seen hugging his wife

Christian Bale and his wife, Sibi Blažić, were seen arriving at LAX after a trip to New York. The longtime couple, both dressed in simple black tops and jeans, stayed close as they made their way down the escalator. Bale, 50, is still wearing the shaved head he adopted for his role in The Bride, the upcoming film directed by Maggie Gyllenhaal.

The pair have been together for more than two decades. They met in the mid-1990s through Winona Ryder, who was working with Bale on Little Women. Sibi was Ryder’s assistant, and the connection between them grew quickly. They eloped in 2000 and later welcomed two children, Emmeline and James.

Bale has often spoken warmly about his wife’s influence on his life and work. During his 2019 Golden Globes speech, he thanked her for steadying him and joked that she helps him avoid saying “the wrong thing” in public. He also shared the playful nicknames they use for their children, calling them Banana and Burrito.

Known for extreme physical transformations in films such as The Machinist, Bale has credited Sibi with supporting him through the demands of Method acting. He has even joked that she preferred certain characters to his real-life self.

Bale is now filming The Bride with Jessie Buckley, Annette Bening, Penélope Cruz, and Peter Sarsgaard. The story follows a lonely Frankenstein figure in 1930s Chicago who works with a doctor to create a companion. Their creation takes on a life of her own, drawing attention from both the public and the police.
