America is in shock after police identified Tyler Robinson, 22, as the suspect in Charlie Kirk’s murder. He was arrested late Thursday in southern Utah after a dramatic day-and-a-half manhunt.
Robinson allegedly confessed to his father, saying he’d rather die than surrender. His father persuaded him to meet a youth minister, who helped alert U.S. Marshals. “We got him,” Utah Governor Spencer Cox said at Friday’s press conference.

Authorities revealed engraved messages were found on Robinson’s bullets, including one reading “Hey Fascists, Catch!” Investigators also recovered Discord chats detailing how he retrieved and hid the rifle used in the shooting.
Kirk, 31, was shot in the neck while speaking to students at Utah Valley University. “He just fell over — it was a fountain of blood,” a witness said.

Robinson now faces charges including aggravated murder and could face the death penalty. This case raises urgent questions about political violence and how America should respond. What do you think needs to change?
