Conservative activist Charlie Kirk was shot during a packed event at Utah Valley University on September 10. The Turning Point USA leader was addressing thousands of students when a loud bang suddenly rang out.

Footage on social media shows Kirk clutching his neck before collapsing backward as shocked attendees gasped. “This is an ongoing situation… we are praying for him,” Turning Point USA told reporters. He was quickly rushed to the hospital.

Witnesses described panic as the crowd screamed and scattered. Police later confirmed the suspected shooter was taken into custody, and the campus was evacuated for safety.

Political leaders across the country condemned the attack. Former President Donald Trump urged: “We must all pray for Charlie Kirk… GOD BLESS HIM!” California Governor Gavin Newsom called the act “disgusting, vile, and reprehensible.”

Conservative commentator Ben Shapiro also asked followers to “pray for Charlie and all other innocents.”
