At Charlie Kirk’s memorial, his wife Erika gave a heartbreaking but powerful speech. On September 10, the 31-year-old activist was fatally shot in the neck during an event at Utah Valley University.
Speaking to thousands, Erika described the moment she saw her husband’s body. “I saw the wound that ended his life,” she said. “I felt shock, horror, and a heartache I didn’t know existed. But even in death, I could see the man I love.”

She revealed that the surgeon assured her Charlie did not suffer. “There was no pain, no fear, no agony,” Erika said. “One moment he was doing what he loved. The next, he blinked and saw his savior in paradise.”
A TPUSA spokesperson later called it “a miracle” that the bullet never exited his body, despite its power. Erika, now the new CEO of Turning Point USA, promised to continue her husband’s mission. Her words reminded mourners of both loss and hope.
