A chilling simulation has revealed how Vishwash Kumar Ramesh, the only survivor of the Air India crash, may have escaped the deadly wreckage. On June 12, the flight crashed shortly after takeoff from Ahmedabad, killing 270 people, including 241 passengers, crew, and civilians on the ground.
Ramesh, 40, was seated in 11A when the Boeing 787-8 slammed into a residential building near a hospital. According to a simulation by AiTelly, he likely escaped through a damaged emergency exit just seconds before the plane burst into flames.
From his hospital bed, Ramesh recalled unbuckling his seatbelt, kicking open a gap, and running. “There were bodies all around me… I ran,” he said. A passerby helped him reach emergency services. Tragically, his brother Ajay, seated nearby, did not survive.
Ramesh remembers hearing a loud noise, flickering lights, and chaos moments after takeoff. “I saw people dying in front of my eyes… I still can’t believe I survived,” he said. Investigators are still working to determine what caused the crash, but Ramesh’s escape remains nothing short of miraculous.
