Conjoined twin Carmen Andrade revealed she secretly married her longtime boyfriend, Daniel McCormack, in a quiet ceremony seven months ago. The couple tied the knot on Lover’s Leap Bridge in Connecticut with close family present. Carmen wore a sparkling emerald dress, saying, “I did not wear white… that’s not my thing,” while Daniel matched with a green bow tie.
Carmen made it clear her husband married only her, not her sister Lupita. In a YouTube video, Lupita added, “I did not [get married]. I don’t want to.” She identifies as aromantic and asexual, and said simply, “because I don’t want to” when asked why she’s not interested in marriage.

The sisters are connected at the torso and share some organs, but have separate hearts and brains. They emphasize their individuality—especially when it comes to physical sensations and personal boundaries.
Carmen met Daniel on Hinge and was upfront about her condition. “It was a learning process for everybody,” she said. While their relationship isn’t sexual, she added, “He’s OK with that.” Carmen knew he was special because he didn’t focus on her condition, saying, “I felt calm on the way there.”
