Country singer Maren Morris has proudly revealed her bisexuality during Pride Month, following her recent divorce from Ryan Hurd. In an Instagram post showcasing her Phoenix concert, she waved a rainbow flag, stating, “Happy to be the B in LGBTQ+.”
Pride Month, observed each June, celebrates LGBTQ+ visibility and rights. Morris, known for hits like “My Church,” also discussed her evolving music career and personal life transitions, emphasizing self-empowerment and creative freedom.
Morris, who recently released a new EP titled The Bridge, expressed a shift away from traditional country music, choosing to distance herself from the country music awards circuit. She emphasized personal growth through her music, navigating changes in her life post-divorce from Hurd, with whom she shares custody of their son, Hayes.
Reflecting on her journey, Morris acknowledged the challenges of being a woman in a male-dominated industry, noting her role in pushing against its limitations.
