Fans are heartbroken after Dallas Cowboys player Marshawn Kneeland was found dead at just 24.
Police confirmed the young defensive end died from a self-inflicted gunshot wound early on November 5 in Frisco, Texas. Hours before, his girlfriend called 911, warning, “He will end it all.”
Authorities searched desperately after Kneeland’s car crashed, only to discover his body nearby. The tragedy came just days after he scored a touchdown against the Arizona Cardinals, marking a high point in his short NFL career.

His agent, Jonathan Perzley, said Kneeland’s “work ethic, smile, and spirit” inspired everyone around him. Western Michigan University, where he played college football, described him as “a leader with heart and humility.”
This devastating loss has shaken the sports world and renewed focus on mental health in professional athletes.
“He was more than a player — he was a remarkable young man,” said his former coach.
