Dancer smashes her face after ‘showing off’ at a party by jumping from the roof with an inflatable dolphin

A party stunt ended painfully when dancer Lorna Joyce smashed her face after leaping from a rooftop.

The 33-year-old had been at her boss’s house in Surrey, England. After a few glasses of wine, she decided to impress others by jumping into the pool with an inflatable dolphin. “I just had to show off,” she admitted.

But instead of a smooth landing, the pressure from the blow-up toy slammed her face against the water. Lorna recalled seeing blood in the pool and feeling as though her head had hit concrete. “I looked like the Elephant Man,” she said, describing her swelling before her mother rushed her to hospital.

Doctors confirmed no broken bones, but she suffered severe cuts, swelling, and bruising. Thankfully, her face healed within a week. Lorna has since shared her story online, warning others not to copy her mistake.

Her message is simple: one careless decision can leave lasting scars. Think before you leap—it might save more than just your pride.
