The 55-year-old music mogul was given 50 months in prison and fined $500,000. A jury found him guilty of transporting women for prostitution, a violation of the Mann Act. Other serious charges, including sex trafficking, were dropped during the high-profile trial.

Judge Arun Subramanian said prison would be “hard” for Combs but added, “he will still have a life afterwards.” Prosecutors described him as “unrepentant,” saying his victims still live in fear of him. Cassie Ventura, his former girlfriend, gave powerful testimony about his behavior. “He is not the victim,” prosecutors stressed in court.
The Bad Boy Records founder has been held since July and maintains his innocence. His defense argued for a lighter sentence, claiming he had changed while in custody. Still, the judge rejected the request for leniency.

Combs’ fall from fame is another reminder of how power and fame can be abused. Do you think justice was served—or was his sentence too light?
