The tragic case of Travis Decker has taken a chilling turn after police confirmed his remains were found in Washington State. Decker, 32, was accused of murdering his three young daughters—Paityn, 9, Evelyn, 8, and Olivia, 5—whose bodies were discovered at Rock Island Campground earlier this year.
The girls’ wrists had been zip-tied, and plastic bags were placed over their heads. Their father, a former Army veteran, failed to return them to their mother on May 30 as ordered by the court. Days later, the heartbreaking discovery was made, sparking a massive manhunt for Decker.
Months later, his scattered remains were located in a remote wooded area near Leavenworth. Chelan County Sheriff Mike Morrison confirmed DNA tests proved the remains belonged to Decker. However, the coroner revealed an autopsy is impossible due to missing body parts and severe decomposition. “It is possible we may never know how or when he died,” officials admitted.
