Divorce lawyer reveals which professions have the highest number of cheaters

It’s the kind of list no one wants to be on. Yet one divorce attorney says some jobs come with a higher risk of betrayal.

Kate Simonds, a family law expert from Arizona’s Simonds Law Group, has seen countless marriages fall apart — and she says certain careers appear again and again. In a viral Instagram video, she revealed the five professions most linked to cheating, while warning: “Don’t take this as legal advice, but these are our frequent fliers.”

So who made the list? At number five, pilots and flight attendants — the ones “who are literally flying away from home.” Next were men in the military, followed by bartenders, who spend long nights around alcohol and flirtation. In second place: police officers. And topping the chart — the unexpected number one — firefighters.

“We’re turning up the heat for this one,” Kate joked in her caption, which quickly sparked tens of thousands of comments.

Many followers agreed, pointing out one thing all five jobs have in common: “frequent nights away from home.” Others chimed in, saying long hours and stress can strain relationships, even in strong marriages.

Still, not everyone took the claim lightly. “Character, not career,” one commenter fired back. Another wrote, “My husband’s a firefighter and has been faithful for 22 years. Don’t stereotype.”

Whether you believe it’s about the job or the person, Kate’s viral insight has reignited a timeless debate: is distance the real enemy of love—or temptation itself?
