Dolly Parton’s Husband of Nearly 60 Years, Carl Dean, Dies – Details

Dolly Parton is mourning the loss of her husband, Carl Dean, who passed away at 82 in Nashville on March 3, 2025. The couple had been married for nearly 60 years, with Dean inspiring some of Parton’s hit songs like Jolene.

Parton shared the heartbreaking news on Instagram, saying, “Carl and I spent many wonderful years together. Words can’t do justice to the love we shared for over 60 years. Thank you for your prayers and sympathy.”

Despite Parton’s fame, Dean remained private throughout their marriage. His funeral will be a private ceremony attended only by immediate family. He is survived by Parton and his siblings, Sandra and Donnie.

The family has not disclosed the cause of death and has requested privacy during this difficult time. Parton and Dean’s lifelong bond remains a testament to their enduring love.
