Joshua Myers, 16, was one of two teenage boys found dead on the railway tracks near Poynton station in Cheshire on July 3. Emergency services responded quickly, but both boys were pronounced dead at the scene. Police are not treating their deaths as suspicious.
Joshua’s parents shared a moving tribute: “He had no idea how loved he was. Our hearts are broken, and the world feels incomplete without him.” They described him as a loving big brother, kind, intelligent, and full of warmth.
He enjoyed computer games, park runs, badminton, and holidays with his family—bodyboarding, swimming, and caring for his younger siblings. His friends were deeply important to him, and he cherished time spent with them.
Floral tributes were laid at the station, and the tragedy has shaken the local community. One mother said, “It just brings it so close to home.” Joshua’s family has thanked the public for their kind messages and asked for privacy during this painful time.
