Four-month-old dies after temperatures hit 120 degrees on family trip

Some family days stay in our hearts forever, and some change everything in a single moment. That was the heartbreaking reality for one Arizona family who set out to enjoy a warm summer day on Lake Havasu.

Four-month-old Tanna Rae Wroblewski was spending the Fourth of July weekend on a boat with her loved ones. The day felt joyful and ordinary until she suddenly lost consciousness, sending her family into immediate panic. They began CPR while calling for help, hoping every second counted.

Emergency crews arrived quickly and rushed Tanna to a nearby hospital, where doctors worked tirelessly to restore her heartbeat. She was later airlifted to Phoenix Children’s Hospital for advanced care. But despite every effort, the family learned later that night that she had passed away.

Authorities have not yet released an official cause of death, but investigators suspect extreme heat may have played a role. Temperatures on the lake reached a blistering 120 degrees, a level that can overwhelm even healthy adults, let alone an infant.

Tanna’s family has shared their grief through a GoFundMe page, describing her as a “real-life angel” who brought joy to every moment. They wrote about her final smiles, their final kisses, and the pain of planning a funeral for a baby only four months old.

As loved ones gather around the Wroblewski family, their message is simple and deeply human: hold your little ones close, because life can change faster than any of us ever expect.
