Former Nickelodeon actor Tylor Chase, 36, has been found living on the streets in Riverside, California, after recent viral footage showed him looking unwell. Chase told the Daily Mail: “It’s not too shabby,” and added: “Life always gets better, keep your head up.”
Chase played Martin Qwerly on Ned’s Declassified School Survival Guide from 2004 to 2007. After the show, his acting work slowed. He later posted poetry online, including a 2014 poem in which he wrote: “Perhaps I am doomed.”
Riverside County court records list 12 criminal cases since August 2023, including alleged shoplifting and being under the influence of a controlled substance. Police said Chase has been “cordial and cooperative” and that outreach teams offer help regularly. Authorities said he has declined shelter and treatment offers.
Chase insisted he was not homeless and said he has support nearby. When offered food, he asked for marijuana. He said he takes several medications but denied having mental health conditions. He also said he may return to Georgia to seek a housing program.

Chase’s mother, Paula Moisio, asked a supporter to remove a GoFundMe and said: “Tylor needs medical attention not money. But he refuses it.” Former co-stars and other actors have publicly expressed concern and said they hope he enters treatment.
