It was supposed to be the happiest night of her life. Instead, it ended her marriage.
During a concert in the Dominican Republic, influencer Miriam Cruz couldn’t hold back her excitement when her favorite singer, Romeo Santos, invited her on stage. With cameras flashing and music soaring, she hugged him… then kissed him.
The crowd cheered — but her husband did not. Within days, he reportedly filed for divorce.
“I have to admit,” Miriam later wrote in a deleted post, “this dream came at a very high cost — the breakup of my 10-year marriage.” She said she was “carried away by nerves and emotion, without thinking of my family.”
Cruz, who has over 140,000 TikTok followers, said she respected her husband’s decision but was “overcome with deep sadness.” Still, she admitted achieving a dream she’d held “for years, both awake and asleep.”
“From the bottom of my heart, I’m sorry,” she added. “I never meant to hurt anyone.”
Her story is a striking reminder that even a few seconds of passion — under bright lights and applause — can change everything.
