Russell Crowe is turning heads again — but this time, it’s not because of a movie role. The 61-year-old actor appeared on the November 5 episode of The Joe Rogan Experience and surprised fans with a slimmer, noticeably refreshed look.
A Major Physical Shift
Crowe shared that he shed more than 55 pounds after finishing the war film Nuremberg. “I was 277 pounds at the end of that shoot,” he said. “I’m about 222 now.”
The change wasn’t the result of extreme dieting or hours in the gym. Instead, Crowe credits a modern medical program that focuses on wellness, longevity, and inflammation control.

The Treatment That Helped Turn Back the Clock
The actor has been receiving care through Ways2Well, a Texas-based clinic offering advanced testing and physician-guided treatments. He said targeted injections in his shoulders and knees, along with IV therapy, reduced years of chronic inflammation from demanding action roles.
According to Crowe, ultrasound scans show dramatic improvement. Areas once thick with arthritis have thinned by nearly 70 percent — and one section of his right shoulder improved by roughly 90 percent.
Lifestyle Changes and Moderation
Crowe also admitted he’s changed his approach to alcohol. He now limits drinking to special occasions. “One night a week is plenty,” he said. “If I have a glass of wine, it’s going to be something meaningful.”

Fans React to the New Look
Social media users quickly commented on his transformation. Many praised how healthy and handsome he looks. Others expressed concern about weight loss later in life. But almost everyone agreed — the difference is striking.
Crowe’s refreshed appearance and renewed energy suggest a star who is aging on his own terms, with a focus on health, not Hollywood pressure.
