Pat Webb, known as Mummy Pat from Channel 4’s “Gogglebox,” has passed away at 75 after a long illness. She was beloved for her appearances with her son Stephen between series 10 and 12. Pat’s humorous and heartwarming interactions with Stephen endeared her to viewers.
Stephen confirmed her passing on Instagram, writing, “Mummy Pat, you were one in a million, took everyone at face value… Rest in peace mum.” Fans flooded the comments with tributes, one saying, “Aw I loved your mum on Gogglebox you two were brilliant together.”
The official Gogglebox account shared the news, stating, “We are deeply saddened to announce that Gogglebox star Mummy Pat Webb passed away this weekend… Mummy Pat will be remembered and missed by her children Stephen, Denise, Sharon, Beverley, and the extended family.”
Stephen and his husband Daniel Lustig left Gogglebox last year after ten years. The show creators said, “Stephen and Daniel have decided that now is the right time to explore life beyond the sofa and leave the show.”
