“Grease” Actress Susan Buckner, Known For Her Role As Patty, Has Passed Away

Susan Buckner, known for her role as Patty Simcox in the 1978 film “Grease,” has passed away at the age of 72. She brought charm and vivacity to the screen, leaving a lasting impact on audiences. Buckner passed away on May 2 in Miami, surrounded by loved ones.

Aside from “Grease,” Buckner showcased her talent in various roles. She portrayed Jean Harlow in a CBS telefilm and appeared in Wes Craven’s “Deadly Blessing” alongside Sharon Stone, displaying her versatility. Before acting, she was Miss Washington in 1971, participating in the Miss America pageant.

After her acting career, Buckner focused on her family, directing children’s theater and teaching dance. Her legacy extends beyond her work, touching the lives of her children, grandchildren, and extended family. Those wishing to honor her can donate to the Fairchild Tropical Botanic Garden in Miami.
