Arjun Patolia, a father from the UK, died in the tragic Air India crash just days after fulfilling his late wife’s final wish. He had traveled to India to immerse Bharatiben’s ashes in the sacred Narmada River. On his return to London, his plane crashed moments after takeoff, killing 241 people.
Arjun’s two young daughters, ages four and eight, are now orphaned within a week. Air India promised about $116,000 compensation per victim’s family, but public outrage erupted. Many online said, “A human life is worth more than money.”

Also on board were brothers Ajaykumar and Viswash Ramesh. Viswash survived by crawling through the wreckage but keeps begging rescuers, “Find Ajay!” Sadly, Ajay never made it out.
Leaders in India and the UK mourned the loss and praised the crew’s bravery in sending a mayday. As families grieve, many demand justice and answers for a disaster that shattered so many lives in an instant.
