Benjamin Ford, Harrison Ford’s eldest son, shared rare black-and-white photos of his dad on Instagram for the actor’s 81st birthday, showing a younger Harrison before Hollywood fame. Benjamin captioned one photo, “Contrary to popular belief, my dad does not hate snakes.”
Before becoming a star, Harrison worked as a carpenter while raising Benjamin and his brother Willard with his first wife, Mary Marquardt. Although Harrison and Mary divorced when Benjamin was 12, he remained a strong presence. “My father was definitely around when I was growing up. He was a constant, and he likes to cook too,” Benjamin recalled.

Now a chef and owner of Ford’s Filling Station, Benjamin credits his parents for inspiring his culinary passion. On Father’s Day, he shared, “He taught me resiliency as a young father and later helped give me the courage to pursue my dreams.”
Despite fame and a busy life, Harrison Ford always prioritized being there for his children, a bond that remains strong today.
