Fast-growing on Feeld
Experts explained “heteroflexible” after a sharp rise in 2025.
The finding comes from Feeld and its Feeld Raw 2025 report.
Feeld calls it an annual deep dive into modern intimacy.
Also, Feeld says heteroflexible was the fastest-growing sexuality on the app.
What it means
However, the term starts with people who are straight.
The “flexible” part means they are open to same-sex experiences.
A broad range can fit under the label, depending on the person.
Some would not rule out a same-sex encounter, but do not seek one.

Examples given
Meanwhile, a woman dating a man could still feel heteroflexible.
This could apply if she is open to a threesome with a woman.
Then, someone who identifies as straight may still feel theoretically open.
What experts said
Dr. Luke Brunning, Lecturer in Applied Ethics at the University of Leeds, UK, weighed in.
He said the data shows growing awareness that sexuality is complex.
He said:
“If anything, it would be surprising if people were never sexually curious about people of their own sex or gender, or if attraction worked in neat and predictable ways,”
City data and quote
Later, Feeld said Berlin in Germany is the “most heteroflexible city”.
Berlin also had the highest percentage of open relationships.
Now, Feeld said New York City had the fastest-growing bisexual population.
The app reported an increase of 161 percent.
Finally, Dina Mohammad-Laity, Feeld’s VP of Data, said:
“Thanks to our incredible community, Feeld has a depth and diversity of data like no other. Feeld Raw offers a unique look at how intimacy and identity are evolving… We’re seeing a surge in people exploring connection and playfulness in authentic, fluid ways, redefining what it means to be seen and to connect in 2025.”
