How morning sex could increase your job satisfaction — and help you score a raise: study

Forget coffee — it turns out there’s a far more surprising way to start your morning right.

According to a new ZipHealth study, Americans who enjoy a little intimacy before heading to work are reporting higher productivity, focus, and happiness than their coffee-fueled colleagues. Researchers say that “morning sex” may actually be the ultimate performance booster — both at home and in the office.

The study, which surveyed 1,000 full-time employees across all generations, found that those who get romantic before 9 a.m. show 71% higher productivity and 54% greater job satisfaction. Even more impressive? Over half received a raise in the past year, and nearly one in five earned a promotion. “It pays to wake up happy,” joked one researcher.

Older workers led the trend — especially Gen Xers and Boomers over 45 — with the marketing, hospitality, and entertainment industries topping the list of early risers. Beyond the paycheck, participants reported stronger emotional stability, confidence, and even better stress management than those who saved romance for later in the day.

In a world obsessed with caffeine and hustle culture, maybe the secret to success isn’t another cup of coffee… but a deeper morning connection.
