Trump’s Hand Bruise Sparks Health Concerns
Photos of President Donald Trump’s bruised right hand during a meeting with French President Emmanuel Macron on February 24 have fueled speculation about his health.
Social Media Reactions
A user noted, “Scrolling Getty and couldn’t help but notice this photo of a huge bruise on Trump’s hand today.” Another agreed, “I also noticed the bruise on Trump’s hand. I wonder what’s going on there?” Some suggested a “golf injury,” while others questioned, “I wonder if he’s recently had an IV?”

White House Response
Amid growing concern, White House press secretary Karoline Leavitt dismissed health fears, stating, “President Trump has bruises on his hand because he’s constantly working and shaking hands all day every day.” Trump previously told Time magazine that hand bruises resulted from frequent handshaking.
Medical Records and Speculation
Trump, 78, has not released recent medical records despite past claims he would. A 2023 report from his doctor, Bruce Aronwald, declared him in “excellent health.” However, a group of doctors warned in 2024 that Trump showed “alarming characteristics of declining acuity.”
With Trump being the oldest president in U.S. history, concerns over his health remain.
