Orsolya Lorincz, 34, has shared an unusual way of traveling the world on her own. After quitting her corporate job, she began visiting different countries and meeting a “temporary boyfriend” in each place she stays.

She uses dating apps to meet local men who are comfortable with short-term companionship. These connections usually last about a week, depending on how long she remains in a country. She says expectations are clear from the beginning and there is no promise of anything long term.
During these short stays, the local partner often shows her around the city, takes her to restaurants, and helps her experience everyday life. She says they sometimes cook together or visit places tourists rarely see. She views them mainly as companions and informal guides.

Orsolya explains that spending time with locals allows her to understand each country in a more personal way. She believes this gives her insight into local culture, traditions, and daily routines that organized tours often miss. She also enjoys the freedom of moving on without having to coordinate plans with a long-term partner.
She says she is open to settling down in the future, but only with someone who shares her love of travel. Until then, she plans to continue exploring new countries, meeting new people, and enjoying the independence that comes with her lifestyle.
