A brave mother battling stage 4 blood cancer has refused more chemotherapy to try a 21-day water fast. Sarah Ford, 42, was first diagnosed with Hodgkin’s lymphoma in early 2024 after a mass was found in her chest. Despite months of chemotherapy and immunotherapy, her cancer returned — and doctors warned her options were running out.

“I needed to try something different,” Sarah said. “This isn’t about giving up — it’s about taking control.” Under medical supervision, she’s now drinking only 350ml of water daily in hopes of cleansing her body and restarting its healing process. Her husband, Sam, admitted he was nervous at first but now supports her choice.
Health experts remain cautious, warning that fasting isn’t a proven cancer treatment. “People should always talk to their doctors first,” said Heidi Smith of Blood Cancer UK. Still, Sarah says she’s at peace with her decision.

“I want to live for my son,” she shared. Her story is sparking debate — but also inspiring others to never stop fighting their own way.
