After years of confusion and heartbreak, Logan Gifford has finally learned the truth about his family — he is both the brother and father of a teenage boy born from years of abuse he suffered as a child. “This case stems from a lifetime of trauma and pain,” Logan said. “No child should ever live through what I did.”

Logan was just ten when the abuse began. It continued for almost seven years until his mother became pregnant. She later claimed another man was the father, but DNA testing recently confirmed Logan as the biological parent. His mother, Doreene Gifford, was convicted of sexual assault and incest in 2015 and served time in prison.

Now 27, Logan has been granted custody of his younger brother, who lives with disabilities linked to his difficult birth. “My focus is on protecting him and making sure he has the best life possible,” Logan said.

Despite his past, Logan is building a future. He’s married, expecting a daughter, and using his voice to raise awareness about abuse and healing. “Only truth and courage,” he said, “can turn pain into hope.”
