ICE Agent Avoids Criminal Charges Jonathan Ross will not face trial after the fatal shooting of Renee Good.
Agent Ross Identified
The ICE agent is 43-year-old Jonathan Ross. He is a firearms trainer and has served for ten years.
Ross belongs to a special response team. He has also led teams for the FBI.

Details of Shooting
Renee Good was a 37-year-old mother of three. She died after two gunshots hit her on January 7.
She was sitting in her car in Minneapolis when agents surrounded her. Video shows her talking to Ross moments before her death.
“I’m not mad at you.”
Government Defends Ross
President Trump and Vice President JD Vance have defended the officer. Vance said Ross has absolute immunity from prosecution.
The President called the actions of the mother an act of domestic terrorism. Meanwhile, the father of Ross described his son as a kind Christian man.
“She hit him. He will not be charged with anything.”

Legal Immunity Rules
Federal law makes it very hard to charge officers for fatal shootings. Prosecutors must prove an officer acted with reckless disregard.
Also, federal agents have immunity from most civil lawsuits. Vance insists Ross was simply doing his job to keep America safe.
Finally, the Trump administration blames the radical left for the violence. Ross remains free as the investigation continues.
