A female massage therapist with nearly 30 years of experience says she no longer accepts new male clients.
She explains that her decision came after repeated experiences where men blurred the line between professional massage and sexual behavior. In one incident, a client turned a treatment session into a non-consensual sexual situation, leaving her feeling shocked and violated.
She says these situations are more common than many realize and have pushed some women out of the industry. Although she tried strict screening and clear boundaries, the constant fear and anxiety became overwhelming.
After speaking with her own therapist, she chose to move to a women-only practice. While she worried it might seem unfair to respectful men, she says the change brought immediate relief.
Now, she feels safer and better able to focus on creating a secure, professional space for her female clients.
