Hilary fell quickly for Myron after meeting him at a party. He was charming and attentive, and within five months, he proposed. Though her parents were wary at first, his sweet words won everyone over—except something about him didn’t feel right.
As the wedding neared, Hilary noticed Myron’s obsession with gifts and money. He requested a prenup with odd clauses, and she later found a hidden divorce certificate. Myron dismissed her concerns, but doubts lingered.
On the big day, just as the priest asked if anyone objected, an elderly man stood up and yelled, “I am against this marriage!” Moments later, police stormed in and arrested Myron. Hilary broke down in tears, confused and heartbroken.
The man was Myron’s estranged father. “He’s a con artist,” Mr. Brown said, revealing Myron had been marrying women for money. The arrest ended Hilary’s nightmare. Later, she handed her settlement to Mr. Brown, saying, “Thank you for saving me.”
