Influencer Tana Mongeau is warning others not to use the weight-loss drug Mounjaro after suffering serious side effects. She lost 6 pounds in just two days but says the experience was “the biggest public service announcement” never to try it.
Originally made for people with Type 2 diabetes, Mounjaro is now used by many for weight loss. It works by reducing appetite and controlling blood sugar, similar to Ozempic and Wegovy. But side effects can include nausea, hair loss, constipation, and low sex drive.

“I’ve been dying this week,” Tana said on her Cancelled podcast. “Like crawling on the floor.” She needed daily anti-nausea medicine and was sleeping more than 12 hours a day.
Tana admitted it was a fast way to lose weight but said, “I should not have done that.” Experts warn Mounjaro is only for people with a BMI over 40 and should be used with a doctor’s guidance. Always speak to your healthcare provider before starting any new medication.
